Jungle View River Camping

We spent two nights here and Eranga made us very welcome and the accommodation and food were very good. Close to the Udewalawe National Park it's a great location to set off for a safari and visit the Elephant Transit Home where the orphan elephants are raised. We would highly recommended a stay at Jungle View River Camping

The setting is gorgeous, the owners are so incredibly friendly despite a slight language barrier, the facilities are better than basic, everything you need after a busy few days on safari! The breakfast was plentiful, and don’t let the remote location put you off as the dinner made by the host’s wife is out of this world with huuuge portions! So no need to go anywhere else for food. Our safari guides picked us up directly from the property & we had safaris arranged at both Udawalawe and Yala!

Lovely friendly owners/family Very peaceful location Beautiful accommodation Owners arranged a brilliant safari for us the guild was very knowledgeable and spoke good English he seemed to take more care than other jeeps going round and took time to show us animals. The food provided was the best we have had in Sri Lanka

Was very difficult to find the accommodation there did not seem to be any signs off the main road road to show it was down a little path we had to pay the taxi extra due to time taken to find it. It is very out of the way with not much around.

The accommodation was lovely as were the family. Food was fabulous.

Slightly out 9f the way location but that was entirely personal preference.

Nice tent house, really friendly and welcoming hosts. We were greated by a welcome drink, the family cooked us a really nice 4 curry dinner. They also helped us organise a safari trip and gave us a king coconut on our way out. We really enjoyed our stay and the whole experience. Highly recommend.

Really nice and quiet place, very nice staff, delicious dinner and breakfast. The tent is very comfortable with a beautiful view of the forest. Highly recommended!

Something a bit different while in Udawalawe for a safari! Nice experience, and close to the national park. Nice evening meal, too. Recommended.
