Jungle View River Camping

Great atmosphere and something a bit different on our Safari Tour at Udawallawe National park. The facilities were lovely as were the staff.

Internet was not consistent. But it didn’t spoil our stay.

Our favourite stay in Sri Lanka! Beginning with a beautiful drive into the jungle like property and an incredibly friendly welcome by Irangan. The tent itself is beautifully designed, spotlessly clean and allows you to have the feeling of being outdoors while still having a complete bathroom. There are birds sounds, and little critters to complete the experience. I would recommend eating at the property as the rice and curry prepared by the family was some of the most delicious we have eaten, you can also try some of the lake fish. So very nice to be able to support someone with a dream and offering such a nice tourist experience.

We loved our stay here the facilities were amazing, it really felt like we were sleeping in the jungle but in a secure way! The room was clean and looked really lovely. The hosts were so helpful and the home cooked dinner we had was delicious! We booked our half day Udawalawe national park visit through the host prior to arrival and it was perfect! Highly recommend staying here.

What a great place. The set up is beautiful. Even better than the photos. Great value for money the most beautiful hosts. We stayed 2 night and had dinner there on one night. The dinner was delicious. We saw fireflies at night in the garden. Our host arranged a safari for us. We loved our stay.

One of the neighbours plays their music loud every afternoon into the evening, and it has a loud base. This is not the hosts fault who is currently managing the situation.

Best food I had in Sri Lanka. Lovely and peaceful lodge with comfortable bed. The loveliest family.

I don’t know where to begin! Firstly, the accommodation is unbelievable in the jungle with beautiful large (very comfy) beds and stone floors - I personally think it is even better than the pictures. But the best thing about this place is the hosting. Namanthi welcomed us with lovely drinks and cooked the most INCREDIBLE dinners that have been our best food in Sri Lanka yet. The family is so lovely and welcoming. Eranga was not there during our stay but he also was reachable on WhatsApp at all times with extremely quick responses and went above and BEYOND organising us two safaris at both Udawalawe and Yala as well as our transfer onto our next destination. He got this all done for us at a very good price and everything ran so smoothly he made our time here an absolute dream! Could not recommend this place enough ❤️

Hard to say anything negative but the mosquito nets draped over made it a little uncomfortable to sleep rather than being fitted around the bed like other accommodations we have stayed in but this is me being SO picky. :)

What a perfect glamping experience! The tents are built in a very natural but luxury way and we loved our stay there and would go back again… for sure! The camp is located perfectly to make a safari in the close by udawalawe national park though you can also see lots of animals sitting on the terasse in front of the tent! Erange, the owner is very helpful in organizing trips for you… not to forget to mention the exceptionally delicious food, cooked by Eranges wife! The perfect place for a calm and relaxing stay!!!

Loved the tent style accommodation. Big comfortable bed with mosquito net provided and clean spacious bathroom with good shower. Breakfast provided was great and friendly staff
