Bird House Mirissa

The room was cosy and in a great location. It was only 5/10 mins from the beach and restaurants. The family were really nice and provided a lot of useful info. We booked our whale watching tour through them which was really great and we got a small discount. It was lovely sitting on the balcony in mornings watching the Peacocks and mongoose.

The room got very hot but there is a fan which helps.

La gentilezza di Ishan e della sua famiglia, la cucina di sua mamma in particolare, che ci ha deliziati con colazioni abbondanti ed eccellenti, oltre che con una cena deliziosa. Ishan ci ha anche dato molti consigli onesti su Mirissa, per cui lo ringraziamo molto. Bella esperienza stare qualche notte in una casa sull'albero! Dal balcone si possono osservare bene i vari uccelli, soprattutto i pavoni, che volano nei dintorni. Il rapporto qualità-prezzo decisamente ottimo. Grazie ancora!

We loved our host, Ishan and his mother who cooked such lovely food for us. We felt very cared for. From our room we could see and hear the birds and local peacocks. It was very quiet and the room was cosy. It was decorated in a very thoughtful way which made us feel like we were immersed in nature. We loved sitting on the balcony. We highly recommend Bird House for those nature lovers. It was a haven away from the business of the beach in Mirissa.

Das Bird House ist eine einfache, aber niedliche Unterkunft mit toller, ruhiger Lage in Mirissa. Verschiedene Strände sind fußläufig zu erreichen. Der Gastgeber Ishan ist super freundlich, aufmerksam, immer erreichbar und hilfsbereit. Das von seiner Mutter gekochte Frühstück und Abendessen sind richtig lecker. Insgesamt eine volle Empfehlung, ich habe meine Zeit im Bird House sehr genossen und sogar um zwei Nächte verlängert.

Unsere zwei Nächte im Baumhaus waren eine ganz besondere und wunderschöne Erfahrung. Die Lage ist einfach ideal – man erreicht den Strand in wenigen Minuten zu Fuß und wohnt dennoch angenehm ruhig, abseits vom Trubel. Trotz der vorherigen Hinweise bezüglich Insekten waren wir positiv überrascht, wie wenige es tatsächlich im Baumhaus gab. Wenn man darauf achtet, abends das Licht im Inneren nicht unnötig lange brennen zu lassen, ist es überhaupt kein Problem. Zusätzlich wurden Räucherstäbchen und Anti-Mücken-Spiralen bereitgestellt, was sehr aufmerksam war. Ishan ist ein unglaublich herzlicher und hilfsbereiter Gastgeber. Er hat sich viel Zeit für uns genommen und uns mit wertvollen Tipps überhäuft. Das Essen, das von Ishans Mama frisch zubereitet wird, war richtig lecker und mit viel Liebe gekocht. Ein besonderes Highlight war, dass wir morgens auf dem Weg zum Frühstück bereits die ersten Pfauen sehen konnten – ein wunderschöner Start in den Tag! Insgesamt hat uns unser Aufenthalt sehr gut gefallen und wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen. 🌿✨

Ishan and his family are very kind hosts. The house is located near the beach, but tucked away in a corner away from all the noise. The dinner was delicious and Ishan helped me arrange transportation to my next destination.
