Bird House Mirissa

Интересный аутентичный отель. Утром поют птицы, а по огороду гуляют павлины. Когда заселялись, угостили чаем и домашним печеньем. Можете заказать еду у мамы хозяина за дополнительную плату, она вкусно готовит местные блюда. Папа хозяина рыбак, поэтому рис с рыбой был свежим и вкусным. Хозяин заботливый, без внимания вы не останетесь) постоянно спрашивал комфортно ли нам и помог организовать трансфер до Ella.

В домике нет кондиционера, но есть вентилятор. Он довольно шумный, так что будет сложно заснуть. Мы спали без него, успели акклиматизироваться, так что нам жарко не было, было комфортно.

We loved our stay at the Birdhouse. Ishan is a 10/10 host, can’t get any better. Communication was so good, he was very helpful and took good care of us. Sleeping in the birdhouse is a awesome experience in itself, fulfilling a childhood dream of sleeping in a fully equipped treehouse. The location is superb, 2 min walking from the main beach. Ishan lives with his mom and dad which are very kind aswell. We both got the breakfast and dinner - which we can highly recommend for a truly Sri Lankan experience. The fish curry was lovely made from Ishans Mom with the fresh caught fish from Ishans Dad who is a fisherman. Thank you Ishan, you are one of a kind.

The cottage is very nice, was the first time for us in such a place, it has what you need in a small room. Loved also the small balcony. You are in the middle of nature, with lovely animal sounds around and some of them you can expect to enter the room, which is pretty normal. You have to know that. We had breakfast and dinner cooked from the host‘s mom and was very good. No hot water but you also don‘t need it because of high temperature. Good Wi–Fi.

The mosquitos‘ net was broken on some parts and was not enjoyable at all during the night, honestly it could be replaced since is important in such a room. Sink water is almost not existant but shower works.

Ishan is extremely attentive and communicative, very helpful and friendly. As well as his lovely mother that cooks delicious food 😋 I really enjoyed staying at Bird House experiencing a lovely stay with local people. Good location, very close to the beach. I totally reccomend

Maybe it's a bit noisy when you have to rest, but if you wear earplugs you will be fine. There are many insects, you need to get used to them. The water pressure of the sink could be improved

We had a lovely stay at the birdhouse! Great location and a beautiful little treehouse. The optional meals were amazing, Ishan and his mum went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and easy, ishan gave us so many great recommendations that made our stay even better. He also helped organise a scooter and a taxi to the airport for us, highly recommend staying here if in Mirissa. :)

Gospodarz bardzo miły i pomocny, kontakt z właścicielem również na super poziomie. Domek utrzymany w czystości. Możliwość wykupienia pysznych śniadań i obiadów w bardzo niskich cenach. Właściciel załatwił nam skuter w również bardzo przystępnej cenie. Wysokie prawdopodobieństwo wystąpienia owadów, jaszczurek etc. w domku. Ale jeśli ktoś się decyduje na taki domek, musi się liczyć z tym że będzie blisko natury :)
