Villa The Leaf

This was a beautiful hotel very close to the quiet end of Weligama bay, situated right on the river with a lovely pool.

Amazing place. Very peaceful. Nice staff. Not crowded lovely river view. totally worth it

Everything was so amazingly perfect... we got so comfortable and were so happy that It was so hard to leave the place. Baba and her family especially her dad were the sweetest most helpful people and made us feel at home.

The location is amazing

The staff was very friendly and tried their best to provide everything needed for a nice stay at the leaf. The room was very spacious amd so was the bed. We could also enjoy a great breakfast in the morning. We enjoyed our stay very much and felt at home:) thanks

Good restaurants are rather far away… Consider renting a scooter there or order a tuc tuc. The staff will be happy to help you with that. The guesthouse is right in front of a river, which is beautiful but also attracts mosquitoes, so take an insect repellent with you

The hotel is in a beautiful location next to the river. Village behind Weligama beach. Surrounded by greenery, nice small area. Everything is very nice, clean. Animals come to the village - monkeys, a lot of beautiful birds. The room was clean, there is large pleasant terrace overlooking the river.

We had several unpleasant moments in this hotel: 1) The sleeping pillows were dirty and smelled bad. They need laundry after each guest. 2) The staff and owners of the guesthouse are often absent. It happened that there was no one besides us and no one could help us when the power was turned off. One evening the main gate was closed and we couldn't get inside the hotel. The owner said, if we are not there, then write to Instagram, but she did not immediately use it there either. 3) 3) We rented a bike from the owner of this hotel for 1 day. And she cheated us with gasoline. We used less than a liter of petrol in a day. She charged us for 3 liters at 850 Rupee each. Although at gas stations it then cost 350 Rupee per liter. Then we also found out that she also took the price for renting her old bike three times higher than everywhere else. It was embarrassing. Do not rent a bike from this hotel.
