The property was spotlessly clean with the gardens, outside areas and pool immaculately maintained. We loved having the peaceful garden terrace all to ourselves. The property was an easy walk to the beach and restaurants at Carvoeiro but far enough away to feel peaceful and tranquil. Teresa was a friendly and helpful but unobtrusive host.

It is not an accurate description to say the property is self catering or has a kitchen area. it is really an en-suite room with tea and coffee making facilities. The kettle, toaster, coffee maker, microwave and fridge are all kept in 1 side of the wardrobe. if you do manage to make a basic breakfast or lunch as we did, there is nowhere to wash up apart from a small bowl which you have to fill from the tiny bathroom sink then nowhere to dry the dishes. It would make a big improvement if there was a sink with drying area and a food preparation area, even if this was outside where there is plenty of space to put a small outside kitchen. however this did not detract too much from a wonderful stay as we mostly ate out in the cafes and restaurants.

The location - so handy for local bars and restaurants yet pleasantly tranquil. Pool area was immaculate and private. Room had everything that a couple would need - we didn't use the kitchen area much. The owner was welcoming and friendly. Local parking was good also. Well worth a visit.

There was sufficient drawer storage space for our week, but a couple of extra coat hangers in the closet wouldn't have gone amiss. A very minor thing.

Maria was a lovely host, it's a great location, it was clean and tidy and nice and private for the pool area for the guests staying. The small kitchen had everything you need to be able to cook yourself if you wanted to. I would certainly stay here again.

The only slight negative was that there was no change of towels during the stay. You have to pay extra for this. But staying 5 nights have them starting to smell damp by night 3/4.

Smelled musty

I loved how quiet it was and that I had the backyard terrace all to myself with lovely morning sun and birds chirping. The bathroom had a great style, the parking situation was excellent and Maria as a host is sensational!

From the pictures I had expected the room to be a little bit brighter than it was (more direct sunlight/windows). Also the price reflects the astonishingly increasing prices in that region.
