Duthus Lodge Guest House

We had a wonderful stay here. We had a warm welcome from David who made us feel very at home. The whole place was spotlessly clean and our room was lovely with a large comfy bed. Location was superb - 5 mins walk from Haymarket, 10mins from Murrayfield and a regular bus service from right outside the door to go further into the city. Communication from David before we arrived was excellent and he also cooks a fabulous breakfast. We will definitely stay here again!

Excellent location, easy to find and had its own parking space which was convenient. Located a 5 minute walk from some lovely cafe's and restaurants, but also another 15 minutes walk would take you right into central. Host was lovely, and the property was clean and tidy.

Great location. I messaged ahead as I had an early meeting an needed to check my bags in early. The owner actually got my room ready ahead of time. Really kind of them.

Great accomodation, very comfortable rooms and clean. The one we stayed had a view of the garden and it was very pretty. The room temperature was just right so we had very comfortable sleeping conditions. The location is very good, it's not super close to the city centre on foot, but the bus stop is almost right outside the accommodation with many buses going to the city centre or the beach which is very convenient.

The Lodge is situated west of the town centre and takes about 25 minutes to walk in although there is plenty of public transport right outside the door. We were lucky and got one of the parking spaces at the back of the property but there was plenty of street parking at the side. The Lodge was very clean, well equipped and our host, Dave, was fantastic. Our room was spacious with a small ensuite. Breakfast was excellent - lots to choose from both hot and cold. Lovely local pub 5 mins down the road towards Murrayfield.

We had an amazing stay! The staff was incredibly friendly and always ready to help with anything we needed. The daily sheet change and cleaning were impeccable, making our stay even more comfortable. The host guided us about tourist locations, bus stops and shops. Highly reccomend!
