Hakuna Matata Arugambay

To wspaniałe miejsce prowadzone przez miłośnika przyrody Billego. Spędziliśmy w Hakuna Matata 5 wspaniałych dni - 8 osób - 2 rodziny z czwórką nastoletnich dzieci. Mieliśmy okazję wynająć starsze klimatyczne chatki i 2 sypialniane w nowym budynku. Śniadania są bardzo smaczne i różnorodne. Obiekt Billego ma niesamowity klimat, jest położony przy Oceanie w pięknym ogrodzie urządzonym przez właściciela. Billi ugościł i traktował nas jak wieloletnich znajomych. Mieliśmy okazję pojechać z nim na lagunę w poszukiwaniu krokodyli i małp oraz zobaczyć w trakcie organizowanego przez niego Safari stado ok 50 dzikich słoni. To nie było zwykłe Safari bo lokalizacja dzikich zwierząt się zmienia i nie ma gwarancji, że się na nie trafi, lecz Billi dzięki temu, że darzony jest wśród lokalnej społeczności ogromnym szacunkiem, w trakcie wycieczki dostawał informacje gdzie mamy jechać co zaowocowało nieziemskim widokiem. Na koniec pobytu zorganizował nam wspaniałą kolację z grila, połączoną z nauką gotowania. Dzieci spędziły w Hakuna Matata jedne z najlepszych wakacji, a syn już zaczyna odliczać dni kiedy znowu przyjedzie do Arugam Bay na wakacje. Dziękujemy!!!!

We stayed in Brand new rooms - simple & lovely - owner has designed so they look lovely, and comfortable beds. It was lovely & welcoming with air con & 20sec walk to the beach. Sitting on balcony was very peaceful

Nothing - everything was great. I think cold water only - but that was perfect for us as it was very warm.

Billie is a great person! You should go to watch birds with him!

Billie who runs this place makes it special. The dinner around the fire pit and scooter safari he provided were fabulous experiences. The breakfasts were also great! Location is perfect right near the beach, shops and restaurants.

The rooms are basic for the price. He has new rooms under construction which will be much nicer and more modern.

Billie is an absolute incredible host who made Arugam Bay our most favourite part of travelling Sri Lanka. Billie is laid back, personable, funny and he invests so much time into his guests making sure that he understands what they want to do and he will make sure it happens. If we could have, we would have definitely stayed longer here. Anyone who books Hakuna Matata is in for an incredible time at Arugam Bay. I’ll definitely get in touch with Billie next time we come back to Sri Lanka. A big thank you to Billie!!!! If I could’ve given him more stars, I would have!

The host is very nice and will help you with anything. The breakfast is tailored to your wishes and could more lokal or western inspired. The location is a bit shielded towards the noise nearby areas

The rooms were slightly lower standard than expected, but nothing major that ruined the experience.

Billie is an incredible host and takes care of everything you need. The hostel is just off the beach and the main street, but magically it's quiet, so you can rest well! Rooms have AC and fans and the staff are super hard workers and incredibly kind.
