Norwood House

Everything was very good.

Our room had a sloping roof which needed avoiding!

Wendy was the perfect host!

Norwood House felt like a home away from home for our 2 night stay and Wendy and Keith were fabulous hosts. Fantastic location in the heart of Ambleside within easy walking distance to the village and lake, as well as multiple hiking routes. We also had a car parking space included in the room which was very convenient. Our room was spacious and comfortable and had a big bathtub which was greatly appreciated after a long day of adventure. Not to mention the full English breakfast which was the perfect fuel to get us going in the morning! Would not hesitate to stay again.

Breakfast was lovely. The hosts were friendly, informative and happy to help with anything. The property is perfectly situated as a base to explore the Lakes and was a joy to come back to after a long day of exploring or walking.

The shower leaves a lot to be desired. The water pressure was lacking and it had an overhead shower head, no hand held option (and essential for most women). As a result it took a long time to wash, especially your hair. But, it would not stop me from staying here again.

Really excellent stay.. It's somewhere where you want to keep coming back....excellent welcoming hosts who are always helpful with local knowledge..

Keith and Wendy the perfect hosts, couldn’t do enough for us both, nothing too much trouble, Our room was spotlessly clean and everything that we needed for our stay, Location was perfect ☺️
