Great hospitality, great breakfast, king sized bed and a great en suite shower. Right in the centre of Ambleside within easy walking distance to the shops, restaurants, pubs and a great base for hiking in the local area. Free parking was a nice bonus.

We stayed at Norwood house as a family group celebrating a birthday, and it was absolutely wonderful. The space was clean, cozy, and perfect for spending quality time together. Wendy went above and beyond as a host – from the warm welcome to the thoughtful little touches that made our celebration feel extra special Wendy’s local recommendations were spot-on and really helped me make the most our time in the area. It honestly felt like a home away from home. I wouldn’t hesitate to come back – highly recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful and charming getaway! The vegetarian breakfast was delicious and clearly prepared with care – a real highlight for our group! Every detail, from the comfy beds to the charming decor, showed how much love Wendy puts into the place. We all left with full hearts (and full stomachs!). Highly recommend for anyone looking for a peaceful, thoughtful, and welcoming stay.
