"The worst stay."

Nothing. I only liked the checking out part.

I am a world traveller, visited almost 50 countries. Stayed in budget free hotels, but I have not seen a bad hotel like this in my entire life. - I would highly recommend you to look for another hotel. - We wanted to cancel our reservation when we arrived to the property and they did not refund. - The room pictures are not the actual room photos. - The hotel is NOT clean. Actually it is the dirtiest hotel I have ever seen. - Molds and insects in the room, I was even bitten by an insect and had my face swollen. I had to go to the hospital in Fulidhoo. - The owners are not helping, they do not speak English. - What i understood is property owner changed and the good reviews belong to the old owner. - If you think your health, just stay away. I opened a case about my health issue as well. - Also the breakfast only includes Chinese rice and egg. If you take any food to room, there is a 200 usd penalty. - There are better hotels in Fulidhoo. All will be better than this.

Small things like tooth brush not given,had to ask them to bring bread for breakfast,Had ask them to fill shampoo and body wash.Breakfast was basic nothing much to say.Can't dry cloths.

Property looks old but the staff make is clean and worth as much as they can , staff people are very lovely , kind and hospitable where we didn’t experience in hulhumale and male , but I love my stay in galaxy sunrise because of the service and food was amazing , they serve delicious lovely food and drinks thank you and we wish you all the best

"General was okay for just 1 day, place needs more care"

Location

Rooms and towels not clean, breakfast very basic, we suppose to have a luxury double room and the room look very different from the pictures, window don’t open and shower and tap broken and needs changing, very used.

"Nice helpful staff, picturesque island but lousy awful breakfast!"

The employees were most helpful and very kind. The hotel has its own beach and evening dining facilities. Collection and departure from the pier was well organized by the young staff and their willingness to help was exceptionally good.

The breakfast was absolutely LOUSY. This fact spoilt our stay. I think if it hadn’t been for this really bad start to the day we would have enjoyed our visit much more. No tea, no normal coffee or coffee powder. No milk, no yogurt, no cereals. Instead there were slices of white toasting bread, no butter. A jar of jam and a jar of Nutella. A warm container filled with rice and fried eggs. The sachets of coffee contained a powdered mixture full of sugar. Watered down it was a sweet vile drink. When the young man noticed I was not eating he brought out a plate of watermelon. We went to the local supermarket to buy a box of teabags and some yogurt. The bedroom was clean and the beds comfortable. The balcony had not been cleaned and the cushion in the swinging chair was filthy. My husband washed it. The bathroom hadn’t been cleaned or at least didn’t look as if it had. We are globetrotters and definitely not snobby but more cleanliness and a reasonable breakfast had been expected. The dining room seats upstairs needed some hot soapy water scrubbing over them. Not good advertising whereas the evening dining area on the beach was inviting and the food was fine and not over priced. I also think people should be informed that this is a muslin community. Bikinis are not allowed on public beaches and alcohol is not available. At least not at the places we visited.

We've traveled to various local islands on the Maldives before and hosts of these kind of properties usually reach out before arrival to organize ferries etc. The responses to my requests did not even contain a name of an employee. A first bad sign that I spotted, but Booking.com information looked fine so we booked and made our own way to the island. Upon arrival we noticed the various glamping tents, beanbags etc outside. Looked promising. We paid for a larger room (08) that was above the kitchen - only reachable via a steep staircase you'd usually find on a boat. The room was dated along with cheap furniture. The mattresses rested on wooden boxes. Everywhere you look you'll see lots of dirt, dust and hair. We decided to stay for one night, but immediately looked for other options on the busy island. Throughout the day and night we could hear people speaking, doors banging and walls creaking. I am not sure what woke me up first: the sunlight coming through the bathroom door (no way to block it) or the smell of 'breakfast' (we were pretty much on top of the kitchen). Breakfast you say? A toaster, a single water kettle to boil your own water and some eggs and sausages that were cooked hours before. The property is littered with signs like "take food to room. $200 fine." "do not enter kitchen. $100 fine." "do not cook in room. $200 fine." I've brought up the issues with the team (most of them were outside playing on their phones), but three times nobody was interested in even understanding why we wanted to leave and just referred to Booking.com to change the check-out date. We booked the Luau hotel on the other (much nicer) side of the island and were very happy with the property, services, food quality and esp the team (thanks Linda, Ablo and team!).
