HI Pigeon Point Lighthouse Hostel

Location, atmosphere

Never stayed in this type of hostel before, not a big deal but wasn’t used to cleaning or bringing bedding up to office

The location is amazing, so close to the water, so peaceful, I felt so comfortable!

The apartment is super-clean with sufficient facilities for cooking; well-located within 5 minutes walk from metro-station; there are a lot of restaurants that offers good quality yet reasonably priced food; the host owns a cafe nearby and offers 15% off to people staying in his place. Super price-value stay at central Athen and strongly recommend to others.

It was wonderful as they have a low light policy at night and you can see a sky full of stars! Meeting travelers from around the world was great fun and sometimes a game board was brought out to liven up things. The female only dorm was very safe with an on suite bathroom, which was very convenient. A well furnished kitchen, two fridges for your groceries.

Fantastic location, great hostel and staff

The location was nicely secluded along the pacific coast highway. Amazing views all around (270 degrees), watching the ocean waves crash on the shore below, and several sea lions jumping out of the water and playing. The room was decent, no frills, but clean. I would have brought more food to keep in the kitchen area, especially coffee and creamer, but coffee was provided at the front desk. Great hot tub with views of the ocean.

The light house was under repair, so it was completely covered in scaffolding. It did not seem like the light was on in the lighthouse either. Not all rooms have a window that face the ocean.
