If you’re deaf or don’t require sleep then this is the place for you!- everything was bad

Everything. I booked for 3 nights thinking I’d found a good deal but I was so very wrong. To start, when I got there, there was nobody at the check in desk for about 3 hours. The room looked like a prison cell. We were the balcony-facing room overlooking the road which initially wasn’t a bad thing. However, opposite our hotel, is a 7 Eleven with an automatic door that would beep whenever opening. With thousands of people coming in and out of that shop throughout the day, I seem to have PTSD from that skull piercing beep. The next and most important thing is the fact that the hotel is above a live music bar and next to a jazz bar and another bar on the other side. This allows for a unique experience of the floor and both walls shaking from the noise, with ear plugs doing nothing to stop this orchestra of various genres of music from seeping into your head. Again, if you don’t sleep or are party animal then this is the perfect place big for people who require more than 2 hours of sleep this is not the place to go. Honestly have no idea how this place has any positive reviews. Clearly too many nice people who are unaccustomed to giving out real and harsh feedback. The man at the check in desk didn’t want to refund our 3 night stay in anyway even though we left after only 1. Good luck to anyone staying there, you have been warned

I would recommend getting a room with shared bathroom and request a room on the rooftop. They get a ton of natural light and they are facing the bathrooms and showers directly so it’s as convenient as if you had a private one. The owner was responsive and accommodating, doing his best to prepare our room as fast as possible.

There were bedbugs in our room. We only realized on our second night but there was an infestation in the room downstairs. I have over 300 bites all over my body and we found a couple dead bugs after moving the mattress and looking around. However, to be fair the owner was very helpful in finding a solution. He moved us to a room on the top floor (honestly, better than our original room in my opinion), gave us a partial refund, and paid for us to wash all our belongings in hot water to make sure no bugs survived. One small thing I disliked was the lack of lighting downstairs.

The bed was really comfy, very good location and cool vibe!

The room and the bed were very spacious. Also the bed was comfortable. The staff was very friendly and the accommodation is located in the centre of Chiang Mai which makes it very accessible. Also, there's a 7/11 in front of the accommodation and loads of food options, markets, shops and temples in the close neighbourhood. And they provide free water which is great considering the fact that we should reduce plastic usage.

The accommodation is above a bar that plays live music from around 8pm until midnight. This makes it very difficult to sleep because the music is so loud. With great foresightedness, however, the owners provided earplugs.

The location is the only good thing i can recall about this place

Backpackers try to save money on place where to sleep. You only have to sleep in your accommodation. Well in this place unfortunately you won’t sleep at all, as the bedroom its located over a pub with live music. We had a very early wake up due to trekking. Music went on all night until 1.30-2am, till them there was not peace. Earplugs were provided but they could not stop the noise. The place is not really clean too, but did not worried too much. Make yourself a favour and do not book in this place
