Howard University is right around the corner.ll Walking distance to everything. Great restaurants in the area Big shout out to honeymoon chicken.... The little apartment was clean, cozy, and comfortable.

I hate the rats up north just entirely too big for me. Need to change the mattress it is hard as a brick. People above us was entirely too noisy.

The location was not good. Not enough warm blankets shower curtains were bad saw some bugs in rooms had rats outside of apartment

It was convenient to the metro. 3 minute/block walk. However- there were an awful lot of homeless people hanging around the station- all hours. Not safe at night walking home!!! Our first night we stopped at the local safeway grocery store to pick up basics that weren't provided in the unit (paper towels, cups, tissues) We were walking home from the metro and a guy ran into the store bleeding because he was mugged out front of the store. Be careful of picking up followers from the metro station, and alley ways are not lighted. In order to access this apt (which has no kitchen) you need to walk thru alley ways, and pass dumpsters- where you will see people picking thru them after dark. We thought there would be places around there to eat, they close very early, and if they are open - don't accept cash FYI.

It was filthy! hair left in the soap dishes, cockroaches, stains on the couch, paint missing on the wall, holes in the wall, and utilities in need of real repair. The shower has definitely seen better years, towels were thin and smelled, and so did the sheets. You really wondered if it they were clean and what you pay a $40 cleaning fee for. There are no extra blankets, no wash clothes, and the hair dryer doesn't work. We were cold at night in the unit. There is no kitchen- so how he calls it an apt I don't know. Only a microwave and mini fridge, no cups, and you will need to get water for the kettle from the tub. Anything you found in the place was because it was left from previous guests. There was no light over the basement door you access- so it was fun manipulating the lock box while holding your cell phone flashlight, from the back of the town house- thru the alley ways, right in front of the dumpsters. We wanted to rent the off street parking- for an extra $15 a day- but the owner over booked it. We tried calling the owner one week before going to confirm the reservation, the beds had sheets- or if we needed to bring our own, and if we could get into the apt to drop off our bags early (before 3pm)... No response from the owner after 4 attempts by phone, email, text and app -until we contacted booking directly. Write down this 800.850.3958 phone number for the US. You will not find it on the booking app- trust us, we looked. We finally got a response from him - with "no problem" and he would send us instructions friday morning first thing on how to enter the property. The instructions didn't come until after 3pm, and after we had to call Booking.com to get the instructions sent to us. Of note, the floors are really thin and you will hear their tv and baby. There is an inside staircase that enters the basement unit from their place. There is no lock on it, and it was just another one of those things about this place.

Completely dirty, bathroom broken, not at all as advertised, no communication with the owner, just through another person, so weird. Drug dealers around the area, I mean in the backyard.

The entrance to the property is located in a RAT INFESTED alleyway! Drug addicts / dealers approached me as I walked to the store across the street. VERY UNSAFE LOCATION.
