Street is rather noisy at night and early morning!

We stayed at the Tegal Basung Cottage for two nights and only wish we could have stayed longer. Its location is conveniently close to the harbor but still peaceful. There are several nice restaurants and cafés nearby. The highlight of our stay was the host, who was incredibly friendly and helpful. He assisted us with the speedboat arrangements to and from Nusa Penida, provided valuable information immediately after booking, and even arranged a snorkeling boat tour for us at a better rate than we could have found on our own.

I loved everything. The location was great (for me very convenient - just what I needed), territory and the bungalow itself were beautiful and sparkling clean, all smelled very nice and I loved to watch the cats and neighbours gorgeous chicken from my wonderful terrace. I highly appreciate the water pressure of the shower - finally it was easy to wash out shampoo from my long hair. Owners were also very lovely and kind. My stay was very pleasant experience and I regret I stayed only for two days. I would gladly stay longer. All was great - suksma. <3

Somebody mentioned in a review that the internet was fast - well I don’t agree - for me it was quite slow but like everywhere else in Bali & Nusa Penida and many places in Asia so this is the only thing but I had relatively fast mobile data so this is the only thing but it’s absolutely okay.

Tegal Besun Cottage in Nusa Penida is a gem! The owner went above and beyond by arranging our scooters, snorkel tour and taxi. We had read in other reviews that it might be cheaper to arrange these things yourself at the harbor, but our experience was different. Sure, you can always haggle and do it yourself, but we found that having the owner handle everything wasn’t more expensive at all. Plus, the convenience of having everything coordinated for us was priceless—everything was perfectly timed and ready to go. The owner really takes the time to think through the details and ensure everything is well organized. Highly recommended!

Tegal Besun Cottage in Nusa Penida is a fantastic place to stay! The cottages are amazing—well-built, spacious, and impeccably clean. The owner is incredibly friendly and makes you feel right at home. We enjoyed our morning coffee on the patio, which was the perfect start to our day. There are some great local warungs nearby where you can get delicious food. The location is ideal for exploring the island by scooter, and conveniently, the owner offers scooter rentals. It’s close to the best spots on the island, making it an excellent base. We wish we could have stayed longer!

The rooms were clean and spacious The owner took our laundry for us and was returned the same day and also organised a driver for the day for us.

Location. - although this isn’t the owners fault , there were dogs fighting and barking all night and demented cockerels who crowed all night long. Also there was no mini fridge and no tea or coffee making - in all other places we have stayed they offer this even at a cheaper room. When I asked for a tea in the morning they said yes no problem but they had no milk. If there is no breakfast offered they should have a fridge for you to store water and milk.

Nyoman was great! Helped me with organising a snorkelling tour, took me on his scooter. Accom is excellent value for money.

I can’t ride a scooter and grab / Gojek not available on Nusa Penida - location has a few things in walking distance but if you need to get around, from this place ideally you will have a scooter (owner can help you rent one)

The price we paid was insanely low for the quality we received. We had the best wi fi in Bali at this accommodation (but we stayed in the house with the router next to it so it may not be as good for everyone). Clean, helpful staff, loved it .
