The rooms had been recently painted and it was lovely and comfortable

Shower wasn’t working but we only stayed for one night so wasn’t too much of a problem

The location couldn’t have been more convenient as it’s a little less than a 10 minute walk from the station & very near to all of the shops and restaurants. The lake itself is also about a 25/30 minute walk away (or a short bus ride). The property itself was very clean and comfortable. In addition, Cristian couldn’t have been more helpful and accommodating throughout our stay - really appreciated this!

There’s nothing not to like about the property. It’s a little small so perhaps not ideal for longer stays but it was perfect for the Easter bank holiday weekend!

"Bad"

We had the most awful stay at Cambridge House. I am not sure if it has changed hands but we were only ever able to speak to someone (via telephone only) called Cristian who was managing the property on behalf of the owners. From the reviews, we thought there would be a host we could speak to however the property was empty and rather uninviting. The property was not how it was described in the reviews at all. As soon as we reached the property, we realised they had no parking on site and do not hold any permits either. You’ve either got to pay for parking which is rather expensive or find a spot on one of the busy main roads which was a nightmare as it was a busy weekend. We tried to use the showers in the morning and they would not work. The water was freezing cold (we let it run for over 30 mins and no change in temp) and had very little pressure. We contacted booking.com directly, cancelled our stay and managed to get a full refund as it was such an awful experience. We were then able to book somewhere closer which had parking and was cheaper! Please do not trust the reviews on this property!
