Central location

The convenient location, clean rooms and excellent communication from host/owner. We chose Windermere as it’s a popular location whilst visiting the lakes - I was happy to find this gem of a place whilst booking as it felt like a steal. I felt so thankful for the fan that was tiny but mighty and kept us cool during the heatwave. What impressed me even more was the excellent communication with the owner and their kind consideration on the last day when we needed to check out a little bit later and was accommodated at the last minute with no extra cost.

Nothing, everything was to our liking.

Location

The location was great. Communication with the host was smooth and we were allowed to check-in early. Room generally had nice decor and the bed was comfortable.

There is absolutely no soundproofing in the walls and you can hear your neighbours, which is especially annoying if someone doesn’t respect that others are staying there as well (and makes rather inappropriate noise in the middle of the night ;)). The room is also rather small and gets very stuffy during the night - gets better if you leave the window open.

Toilet not cleaned properly before arrival had to clean another guest unhappy we had a dog staying there and approached us directly and semi complained to us even though nothing had happened like barking etc just not happy a dog in next room. Not my problem. Dog was as good as gold and did not impinge on the other guest in any way in fact she was quite noisy so not happy we even approached
