Oyado Uemasa

The hosts were amazing and staying here made our trip in Nozawa Onsen. So friendly and kind. Japanese breakfast was great, good drying room, location good with two onsens nearby (towels and shampoo baskets available to use from Uemasa) and a short walk to restaurants and ski resort. Hot water, tea and coffee always available. It was perfect for our stay and we look forward to returning.

The house is managed by a wonderful couple who treated their guests warmly and kindly. The inn is extremely clean, and the shared bathroom is well maintained with a nice hot tub. Location is also superb and close to nearby eating places and bus stops. Will rebook and stay here again if we are visiting Nowona Onsen!

Nous avons été chaleureusement accueillis par nos hôtes, qui ont été aux petits soins avec nous, et qui nous ont proposé de fabuleux petit-déjeuner aux saveurs locales. Nous avons également apprécié le bain chaud à disposition dans le logement, qui complète bien les différents Onsen disponibles dans le village.

Run by an extremely cute and friendly elderly couple. Nice Japanese style small rooms with tatamis and futons. The Japanese breakfast is great.

Close to the shinden bus stop, 5min walk from the main town

Great house with very hospitable hosts! We felt like home. Drying room for ski stuff is very spacious. Having onsen after snowboarding is amazing!

The husband and wife running the place were fantastic. Limited English but went above and beyond to explain and help. Location is a little away from busy area and a 10 minutes hike up the hill to gondola. The house and rooms were well heated and comfortable. Large Dry room, Breakfast extra, affordable and copious Bonus is location next to shinden bus stop and shinden onsen.

Futons were bit hard. Pretty standard in village is the one shower to share between all guests.( but toilets on each floors and extra sinks)
