Mu Cang Chai Big View Homestay - Rice Terrace & Mountain View

Chau, the owner was a kind man and was very friendly and accommodating. The food was good and plenty and was made to my specifications and was even asked when the would like it served. This is the perfect getaway for anyone that needs some “me” time. The view is what sells this place and it is breathtaking. If you want a story about perseverance and vision ask Chau how he built this place.

If you arrive on a motorcycle then make sure you arrive in daylight and you are experienced to climb the narrow path leading to the home stay and trust your sat nag

A bit expensive for what they offer, it was full because of vietnamese holidays, but we only had a mattress on the ground on first floor, separated with curtains, which is fine in itself but for the price you'd expect way better. Breakfast was really simple.

Absolutely amazing views. Staff was exceptional. One of our favorite experiences in all of Vietnam. The owner was more than willing to go out of his way to help with anything, including bus from Hanoi and bus to Sapa.

If you want to experience an authentic and wonderful homestay, just book this place. Located on one of the hills, you have a beautiful view of the Mu Cang Chai area and the rice terraces. You stay in a separate building, like a very solid barn, with comfortable mattresses, sheets and moskito nets. Moreover, there are very modern bathrooms with super clean toilets and showers (warm water!) The hosts Khang and his wife are just lovely. They make breakfast and even dinner for you which was very delicious. Khang even offers trekking tours (He speaks English) and he can arrange pick ups if you arrive by bus. He was also very helpful in figuring out what's the best way to travel to Mu Cang chai as he is well informed of all of the bus connections going to this area, just contact him on booking.com and he will assist you.
