Mu Cang Chai Big View Homestay - Rice Terrace & Mountain View

The view from this homestay is spectacular, the host family were wonderful and the food was great. We had a comfortable-enough stay in one of the private rooms, the price is worth it for the view and the overall experience but the room was very basic. I would reccomend this stay to anyone looking for a comfortable accomodation and an unforgettable view.

We had the most wonderful experience at this homestay. The view from our room was absolutely breathtaking—waking up to the stunning rice terraces was unforgettable. Our host was incredibly kind, helpful, and always available to assist with anything we needed. The dinner here deserves a special mention: it was hands down the best food we’ve had during our entire trip to Vietnam—authentic, delicious, and made with so much care. We also joined a motorbike tour with the host, and it was such a highlight! A fantastic way to explore the area and learn more about the local culture and landscape.

We had the most incredible experience staying at Mu Cang Chai Big View Homestay! From the moment we arrived (very late at night, and still were picked up), we were warmly welcomed by the owner - Chua. The homestay is nestled in a breathtaking location with panoramic views of the rice terraces — it's like waking up in a postcard every morning. The highlight of our stay was definitely the motorbike tour organized by Chua. This is an absolute must-do if you're staying here! Chua took us through some of the most stunning and authentic parts of the region — lush rice fields, quiet mountain paths, and hidden viewpoints you’d never find on your own. He went extra mile and even took videos and photos of us and the rice fields with his drone which he then shared the footage with us. If you're looking for a place that offers not just a stay, but a real experience of local life and natural beauty, this is it. We left with full hearts and memories we’ll cherish forever. Thank you Chua and your incredible family — we can't wait to come back!

Had a lovely stay here, we felt very welcomed and at home. We had a wonderful time on the motorbike tour, and spent the rest of our time relaxing and enjoying the views. Dinner and breakfast were also delicious!

Location and view was brilliant. Customer service was top notch. The owner actually gave me some ginger tea bags for my journey when I left after I told him how much I enjoyed the one he made. Their food is gorgeous.

Not much to complain about, as a solo traveller nothing springs to mind.

The Homestay is located in a beautiful location. When I visited there was no rice so obviously didn’t look like the pictures but I knew that would be the case. I went out with the host for the day on a motorbike tour which was fantastic. We went to some lower rice terraces which had rice which were beautiful and lots of other viewpoints and points of interest that I would not have found on my own. The food was wonderful and they happily accommodated my vegetarian needs. I would definitely recommend this homestay.
