La Tonnelle Guest House

Bit dated but charming place with chill/relaxed staff... beach just across the road and "groupdinners" doing the job...

Our stay was great, the staff was very kind and the guest house cosy. Room was clean and the location great (supermarket, beach and restaurants nearby)

The breakfast wasn't very diverse and i would not use the pool for swimming as it was mainly used by divers.

Geraldine and gang were very friendly and helpful. The dinner arrangements were my favourite part, everyone is seated at 19:30 at one table and we have a new 3 course meal every evening (if you have a special consideration you may tell them), it gave everyone the opportunity to get to know each other. Staff are always smiling and helpful. The beach is a small walk and beautiful. I was alone throughout my stay and always felt safe. Would love to come back.

If you are tempted by La Tonnelle's glossy photos and descriptions of the accommodation and all listed facilities, you may end up very disappointed! Also, if you are bothered by cigarette smoke and you do not speak French, you may find the atmosphere here unpleasant and exclusionary. When you learn that La Tonnelle's standard is inferior and partly untrue compared to what the pictures and descriptions promise, it is easy to feel cheated. I booked a long-term non-refundable stay and ended up with a 28-day vacation that can best be defined as a waste of time, energy, and money.

Friendly staff and very clean. Easy going Hotel. Sitting together with other people during dinner was awesome. Dinner was really good.

Quality is not as good as expected.

We had a great time at La Tonnelle. The room was nice and had all that is needed. The garden and bar/restaurant area are very pleasant. We enjoyed very much the dinner. The food was good and eating at the same table as the other guests was pleasant.

All perfect, good location near the beach, restaurants and supermarkets

The staff was incredibly nice and kind. Helped us organize trips at a very decent price and was always makin sure we are comfortable and noting is missing. They provided us beach towels which was a nice bonus and a beach bag to carry them. The breakfast was really delicious (best scrambled eggs we ate in a while) and delicious juice. A big plus was that the diving center was right next doors so we comfortably took some lessons in the morning without having to skip breakfast or hurry too much.

The bathroom could really use a shower curtain. But other than that really for the price and the location next to the beach there is nothing else we can complain about
