Cashew Villa Hiriketiya

Place is beautiful, rooms are very simple but there is everything you need there.

Located next to the prettiest part of town with great access to lovely cafes and close to the beach. The area is also private and quiet and you can see monkeys easily. The room and bathroom are nicely decorated and there is always help whenever you need it.

We really struggled without AC as it was 32/33 degrees each day. The tuk tuks couldn’t get to the place so we had to walk through a thunderstorm one evening to get back. The room isn’t very light either but it was still good value for money.

Die Unterkunft war genau, wie sie auf den Bildern aussieht und der Gastgeber war sehr freundlich! Vor allem die Lage ist super. Ruhig, aber man ist schnell im Zentrum. Wir saßen abends gern auf der schönen Terrasse.

Es gibt keine Klimaanlage, was aber in der Beschreibung steht. Daher kann man das nicht bemängeln. Trotz der Ventilatoren war es aber sehr warm im Zimmer.

Short but pleasant stay at Cashew. Walking distance to beach in quiet area. Good value for money.

It was clean, and it looks like a lot of the facilities are new and good quality (e.g. sink, toilet, etc.). The owner seems like a very good person - he woke up every morning to burn incense and pray to Buddha.

- Location is a bit remote. It's hard for cars to get there, making it hard for loading luggage, and it can be scary at night or early morning. Some of the nearby houses have dogs which can bark and burst out which again can be scary during the odd hours. - The lighting in the room is very dim. I think lighting makes a big difference in feeling of cleanliness and safety. - There are small cracks to the outside which allows bugs to get in. Fortunately he has a mosquito net over the bed though. - There were two fans directed at our bed, and we weren't able to adjust the intensity, so we were stuck feeling either chilly or stuffy throughout the night.

Die Unterkunft befindet sich etwas abseits und ist daher sehr ruhig. Es gibt einen sehr schönen Garten mit einer tollen Terasse. Der Gastgeber war sehr nett und höflich, wir haben uns wohl gefühlt

Der Weg zur Unterkunft ist vor allem im Dunkeln von einem sehr aggressiven Nachbarshund bewacht und nicht beleuchtet. Die Zimmer sind sperlich eingerichtet, Im Zimmer gibt es nur sehr wenig Ablagemöglichkeiten und es war insgesamt sehr Dunkel (trotzdem hat man alles, was man benötigt).

Great value for price, we liked the location (little bit off the main road, but it’s a nice walk to the beach and you can see a lot of animals).

Be mindful that there is no AC, so it gets hot in the room. The last part of the road is little rough for vehicles.

Cashew Villa was such a beautiful and peaceful place to stay. Paba was incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the room was very spacious. The location is also great, just a short walk to everything. I would absolutely love to stay here again!
