Guesthouse Kyoto Arashiyama

The property itself is very nice, clean, and well maintained. The location is quite far from any stations (15 minutes walk). There is a nearby bus stop, but you cannot ride a bus with large suitcase

It was a wonderful experience to be out of the main tourist area and amongst local people. The guesthouse was small but comfortable and had everything we needed.

It is a traditional Japanese style room and kitchen with a bathroom and bath. If you're looking for a classic living. Um away from the city, this is perfection. I highly recommend it. Staying here Was everything I wanted

It's very close to the bamboo forest.And it is beautiful. .What a lot of great amenities Coffe shops cafes all round .Also , you're up near the mountains. The air is pristine

The owner was very friendly, waiting for me, as I arrived more than an hour late (official check-in is until 8pm) It's Japanese style sleeping on Futon on Tatami mats. Neither chair nor stool provided, Low table. All nice cultural experience :) Real coffee and tea provided.

The room cooled down to 6⁰C when not using the heating (outside 0⁰C during the night), but warmed up quickly to about 16⁰C when turning on heating, which was okay with warm clothing. There's no heating in the bathroom.
