Yakushima Park Guesthouse

Very friendly host, great location with the bus stop right in front of the guesthouse. The room was very comfy, plenty of space and hangers for clothing.

The walls are a bit thin so it is easy to hear other people coming and going.

Conveniently located in front of a bus stop (which is a must if one doesn’t have a car), walking distance from Miyanoura port, close to restaurants, this accommodation was just what I needed for my stay in Yakushima. The owners are very kind and helpful, as well as attentive to their guests. I will definitely come back again if I have the opportunity.

Location was perfect walking distance from Miyanoura Port. Host was very friendly and knowledgeable - he even gave us a lift back to the port in the pouring rain and checked that our ferry was still running! Very cute and clean kitchen, shower and toilet. There are spare trekking poles, hiking boots and umbrellas you can borrow. Exceptionally good place!

It's a traditional Japanese house (which we loved!) but the walls are very thin so remember to be respectful.

The accommodation is very well situated, in front of a bus stop and close to the ferries. It’s clean and welcoming. The owner is really a fantastic person and his kindness and devotion in itself is worse staying there. I stayed at this accommodation after a violent typhoon that blocked mosts roads and prevents anyone from going pretty much anywhere. Despite that, he did his absolute best to help me enjoy my stay here, driving me wherever it was possible too and providing me with useful informations. Honestly he turned what could have been a frustrating situation into a beautiful memory.

Like most traditional hotels, the walls are thin. Nothing to worry about, it’s part of the experience but keep it in mind.

I had a spacious traditional japanese style room with a small mattress on the floor and nice bed sheets. The aircondition was good and it was clean and nice. The host is an older man who was very nice to me and gave me tea. Location is pretty good right outside a bus stop and close to a restaurant. So its an easy bus from the harbour to the guest house if you arrive and leave when the busses are running.

Great guesthouse close to Miyanoura ferry terminal. The host was very accommodating and helpful with my requests and the place was clean, cosy, quiet and comfortable. AC was great in mid summer! A good place as a base for activities on the north of the island.

Great location for price, kind owners, clean room and facilities

It was a very welcoming. The owner was super friendly and helpful. He helped us find info of places we want to go. It is super close to the port too.

Great location, perfectly functional AC and bathroom and shower were always clean. Washing machine was clean and worked well I appreciated it much. There was no dryer but since it’s summer clothes got dried out fast anyway.

Maybe kitchenware could be better? Pan and pot are not in the best condition. But any guesthouse I’ve ever been has the same problem so…
