It was such a wonderful stay at Guest House Hitotomaru. The rooms are beautiful and the town is peaceful and surrounded by beautiful nature. I had the Sashimi set which was exquisite. Thank you for hosting me.

Hitotomaru is truly a little hidden gem! Situated in Takeno, a lovely fishing town only 15 minutes by train from Kinosaki Onsen (and a lot less crowded), the guesthouse is litteraly a few steps away from the most beautiful beach we saw in Japan. Inside, everything is made to make you feel at home. Everything is clean, beaufiful and smells good. The host speaks good english and is very helpful. This family guesthouse is our best discovery during our trip and we highly recommend it.

"Feels like home away from home."

A beautiful guesthouse next to the seaside. A relaxing, natural and quiet side eto the country. Accommodation was traditional Japanese style, comfortable and cosy. Staff were friendly, easy to communicate with and service was exceptional. Staying at the Guesthouse in Takeno was a highlight of my trip to Japan.

Next door to the guesthouse there was building works occurring for the time we stayed, so we were workn up before 7am by noises. Obviously this had nothing to Dow its the guesthouse and its operations, but the construction noise did impact our stay.
