The location is excellent as it is walking distance from the slopes, kids snow area & the restaurants. It is walking distance from the bus stop & O-YU onsen. The old lady who managed the place spoke English and was very kind to lend me snow boots for free.

Amenities are basic but very clean.

The owner is a incredible sweet woman. I would have like to talk more with her but I had to leave. I stayed in a big traditional room, very comfortable and warm, equipped with kotatsu, futon and a heater, so you won't be cold at all. You can also leave your skis on a dedicated room they have for it. The breakfast was a delicious traditional Japanese breakfast. I would repeat it for sure.

It is a typical Japanese guesthouse. The owner is very kind and flexible.

Warm water wasn’t running when I was there. But it wasn’t a problem as there are onsen all around the village.
