Traditional in temple accommodation with traditional breakfast and dinner (vegetarian) included . Coffee and alcohol available for purchase Opportunity to join in ceremony and meditation for authentic experience of Shingo. Michael one of the monks offered a guided night tour of the cemetery (extra fee) Expensive but the tariff supports the temple and monks preserving why you visit in the first place

The noisy trades performing repairs during the day

"Amazing stay at a Buddhist Temple"

10.0

Our stay here was absolutely amazing. The entire property felt incredibly peaceful and relaxing. Everything was exceptionally clean—some of the cleanest accommodations we experienced during our trip. The staff were attentive, welcoming, and genuinely friendly throughout our stay. The rooms were immaculate, and the beds were extremely comfortable. The amenities were excellent, including the toiletries provided in the rooms. The onsen and shower facilities were wonderful and spotless. Although shared, they felt surprisingly private and were a highlight of our stay. We appreciated the thoughtful touches, including complimentary green tea upon arrival, a guided meditation session, and a beautiful morning service. Both dinner and breakfast were outstanding and added greatly to the overall experience. We were genuinely surprised that this property is rated only three stars, as it exceeded our expectations in nearly every way.

We honestly did not have any significant complaints during our stay.
