Koyasan Shukubo Yochiin

It was a wonderful experience to stay within a Monastry. The breakfast and evening meal was very good. The location is within walking distance of the Temples and Shrines.

I was rather hesitant about having to share the bathroom facilities with other residents. Everything was so clean, that for an overnight stay it was not a problem.

Alhoewel ‘pelgrimsverblijven’ in hetzelfde dorp nog veel hogere prijzen hanteren was het ook vreselijk duur.

Tolle Erfahrung in einem Tempel zu übernachten. Die Gastgeber waren sehr freundlich und die englischsprachigen Mönche haben viele Informationen gegeben und Fragen beantwortet. Sowohl die Meditation als auch die Morgen Zeremonie waren ein tolles Erlebnis. Die Lage des Tempels im Koyasan ist sehr gut. Auch das vegane Essen hat mir sehr gut geschmeckt. Insgesamt natürlich eine nicht billige Erfahrung, aber sicheres außergewöhnliches.

We were warmly welcomed at the monastery. The facility was great and we were taught about the tea ceremony. The food was delicious and the whole experience was incredible with meditation so sutra writing participation in the prayers. It really helped us understand Buddism. This stay at the monastry was a very special part of our break in Japan

The room was spacious uncomfortable and the onsen was great.

La chambre était très agréable et le repas très bon. L'accueil du moine était très agréable et ses explication très intéréssantes.

L atmosfera

The monks were super friendly hosts and the food was amazing, especially for vegetarians. I recommend participating in the night walk on the cemetery which is super interesting!
