"Beautiful, romantic, off the beaten Cinque Terre paths"

If you are looking for a beautiful history rich place to wind down after exploring the crowded towns, you will love Eremo della Maddalena. Set above the crowd among olive groves and vineyards, it is beautiful with multiple courtyards and gardens that you can enjoy with complete privacy. It felt like … Tuscany! Our host, Tusita, was also the best!

The only downside is the distance from town. It is a 30 minutes downhill dirt trail hike to get into town and a 15 minutes taxi ride to get back. But it is precisely this distance that gives the place the tranquility and the spacious grounds.

So relaxing and tranquil. We hiked down the mountain path 1.5 km to get into town and back up. Some of the best views in the world.
