Fun Family Guest House n Jungle Tour

Great location and best jungle experience 🤗🤗

Putra and his staff were extremely welcoming and helpful during my entire stay. The view from my room was gorgeous because it was facing the river. Putra organized my 2-days jungle trekking tour and it was simply amazing: all guides were very well prepared, knowledgeable, very friendly and local (i.e. all coming from the same nearby village), which made my experience even more authentic. They prepared and served us a lot of typical food during the entire trekking, we saw a lot of animals and shared a lot of information and therefore spent unforgettable time together! Terima kasih Putra and your entire team!

Everything met my expectations. If I must find a little improvement point, I would have appreciated to have a small mirror in the bathroom.

Our 2D1N jungle trek with Putra was great! You could really see that he spent his whole life in these forests and really cares about the environment and its protection. I also had an injury during the trek and it was harder for me to walk the next day but he helped me in every way that he could, carrying my bag and making sure that we go slow and take breaks. It was wonderful listening to his stories about the jungle! I really recommend you do the jungle trek with him! Also the absolute max group size is 5, which makes it better. The accommodation is very basic, but for that price I am not complaining!

You can hear noises from the outside quite clearly, but that’s usually the case in every Indonesian house and can be fixed easily with earplugs.

The Guest House in Bukit Lawang is really nice!! The family is super helpful and kind!! Absolutely recommend

the place to go if you are looking for a cheap place room also has a fan even if you opt not to stay there, you can still book your jungle tour there because the owner, Putra, is really nice, and treats the animals and nature with the respect you want from a guide

Highly recommend to stay here, room with double bed and own bathroom very comfortable and clean. Located right on the river, beautiful views. No need to go anywhere else for your jungle trek as Putra is an awesome jungle guide with lots of knowledge and passion for the jungle, he will give you an unforgettable experience. All of the staff here are more than happy to help you with anything you need during your stay including getting too and from Bukit lawang.

My sister and I booked a room with fun family guest house as one of our first stops in Indonesia. The family welcomed us with open arms and was extremely nice. Especially G was very fluent in English and helped us with everything we needed, as well as showing us around the town and bringing us to see a live band on Saturday evening. He also helped us with planning our trip and booked us the Jungle Trekking and a Transport to and from the Guest House. Even though not the entire staff was speaking English, they knew some simple phrases/words and were patient and helpful with us. Furthermore the placement was very good. It is right next to the river, near the entrance of the city and in walking distance to all restaurants and shops. I would highly recommend staying with this lovely family while visiting Bukit Lawang.

The only things we weren’t satisfied with were the bad WiFi connection and an occurring power failure of about an hour. But we just used that time to do some souvenir shopping.

Affordable and beautiful Homestay beside the main river. Putra and his family are very kind and helpful. Will come back again whenever I'm nearby.

Location is perfect, you are in the middle of everything, amazing owners, very kind and helpful, they will even give you welcome drink (tea, coffee or water) and pick you up at the bus station (which i didnt expect), owner is good guide too, definitely worth to stay
