Drangar Country Guesthouse

This place was in an absolutely beautiful location and so was the farmhouse they converted. We saw the northern lights and the highlight was really the couple that owned the place. They were warm and welcoming, fun to talk to and we're very helpful with planning and ideas for the trip after we left. Rooms were clean and had everything you would need. I would stay here again and next time for longer.

オフロードをしばらく進み車はドロだらけになりますが、静かで本当に息を飲むような景色のところに素晴らしいデザインホテルが有りました。ホストさんは非常に気さくで、ホテルについて、周りの観光スポットなどについて丁寧に教えていただき、本当に良かったです。オーロラが出たときにもすぐに伝えてくれて、リングロードトリップで一番キレイなオーロラをみることができました。食事の設備も非常に整っており、オーブンレンジで野菜やソーセージを焼きましたが、非常に美味しくいただくことができました。リングロード中は自炊も多く、少し寂しい食事になることも多かったのですが、これだけ設備が整っていると美味しいご飯も作ることができます。田舎でどんな宿かとやや不安ではありましたが、期待以上でした。

半オフロードを車でいかないと行けないのでドロだらけになりますので覚悟しておいてください。

Speaking for myself, not my partner. We were lied to. This is not a hotel with privacy like the booking.com said it was. This is a Bed and Breakfast. No privacy. No light from the outside in the dark room you're given. No vents. No control of the temperature. We were instructed to clean dishes, separate trash, compost.... to be quiet so the other tenants do not hear us while they nap. It reminds me of a hostel in Amsterdam for college kids, with WAY more rules. The price was incredibly high... we would NOT stay here again. To reply, there was no conversation about any thermostat in ANY part of the guest house during the 1 hour show and tell. Btw, dont expect to relax when you arrive, you get listen how a barn was made... so cool!!! 👎👎

Great stay! Knútur was a very welcoming host and introduced the house to me. The historic exterior combined with the stylish modern interior made the place unique and comfortable. Highly recommended!
