Beautiful authentic apartment

When we arrived there was a cockroach in our room. In addition, the air conditioning did NOT work. The room was super hot and we couldn’t sleep because of the heat. When we contacted the host, they kept lying that technicians came and fixed the airconditioning, but they never came and it was never fixed. The stay wasn’t central at all! The direct distance from place to place is not very far from the center. However, due to the geographical layout, you can’t reach the center directly and have to take winding roads with many slopes to get there.

In City Center, very cute and quiet location.

Only one window that faced a courtyard, so not much natural light and felt a bit stuffy. But nothing worth not staying!

Extremely clean and comfortable..beautiful location. Although it was on top of hill. Little deli and restaurant 2 mins away closes at 9pm and beautiful Cathedral beside you. Taxi from town up about 10 euro..

Nice walk downhill to town centre, got taxi uphill to save legs. Althought I figured out a no. 8 bus goes uphill n stops near cathedral. Was only there 2 days and my partner not great walking.

Location, comfy bed, shower & decor

Air con could be little colder but otherwise nothing!

KyS was really comfortable in an exquisite old building in the heart of Castello, close to everything i wanted .. The host let me use the common area to await my friends with 12:30 Checkout which was very nice of them (check out in Sardenga seems to be at 10AM - early for me) The bed was SO COMFORTABLE after the hard beds of Cala Gonone!! It was ultra clean. All of the linens were great! Great air con ! Great wifi etc It was three short flights up - you can't really call them flights but a short series of steps to the first floor.The public area has a series of books on Sardinian village costumes - worth looking at. Lots of lightingoptions for the spacious room- beautifully designed. The decorative pillows on the bed were scented with a delicous perfum...love to know what it was !

The second apartment we moved to (studio 74) was great. Better location for us, and super nice! This one though (kys Castello), not great. Without the roaches and the company communication, it might have gotten a 5 or 6, but not something I would choose again, because of the humidity, and it's a long walk up (roaches and company aside that is)

The ac was not functioning that well, it took ages to cool down the room just 1 degree. It was 27.5 degrees in the room and very humid. And the blue light that everyone else is mentioning is actually very annoying. My boyfriend is a heavy sleeper and even he woke up because of it. However we had a bigger issue. We found 3 cockroaches in the room on the first night, which was a huge issue in itself. The real problems began though with the communication from the company. We wrote to them the morning after, asking to change room or location, because cockroaches are just not something we want to be in a room with and then the other smaller issues also built up on that. At first we were told there was nothing available and that they could put some traps. We checked the website and could see that that was not true, and that they had places available, which we wrote back to them. They said that they could not change us to an apartment since we booked a suite, and that they could send over a cleaning lady. The issue, however, is not the cleanliness, but the cockroaches. 1 might be able to slip in, but 3 indicates a problem. Then we got yet a new response saying that they could in fact change us to an apartment, but for 74 euros. We called and asked about this, and the first response we got was in the line of 'this is Cagliari, there are cockroaches in the city', which is a very disregarding response to our concern. I have family in cagliari, my father was born and raised here, and cockroaches are not a thing you just accept - if you have them, you deal with them professionally, not just disregarding them as normal. We then after discussing back and forth, got the extra cost reduced to 50 euro. We are very unhappy with how this was dealt with from the company's side, there was a problem that was not our fault, we paid a lot of money to have a good stay, and then we still had to pay to change.
