京の宿 西大路 familie

The apartment has 4 single beds, 2 in the main room and a bunk bed in the kitchen area. It's a bit cramped but works well for sleeping and breakfast. There is a kitchen, table, fridge freezer, washing machine, dryer and a balcony. Bathroom and toilet are clean and the place is nice and cute. Not big but was very practical for us. There is a computer if needed. It's 12mins walk from the JR line (which is 1 stop away from Kyoto station so very convenient). There are plenty of great and cheap restaurants and convenience stores around. The owner is very kind, speaks English and explained which restaurants were the best for breakfast, lunch or dinner (everything within walking distance). We had a great stay.

To be picky I would say you can hear street noises evening and early morning from sleeping in the bunk bed in the kitchen (if you are a light sleeper like me) but nothing that ear plugs couldn't sort out. Nothing negative to say.

Fully furnished and clean room. There are quite a few kitchen utensils, convenient for simple cooking.

The room is a bit small, only 1 bedroom for 5 people, no separate room for kitchen and bedroom.

The owner is very nice and accommodating. The house is clean and the service is very satisfying.

Everything is perfect but about 3am my friends and I woke up because of the noise on the 2nd floor
