Ontzettend lieve host: ontvangst met verse kokosnoot, voor de safari s ochtends vroeg koffie of thee met bananen, een vers sapje na de safari én een gratis lift naar het busstation. Daarnaast beste dhal curry van de afgelopen weken.

I can't say enough great things about this homestay! They arranged our transfer from Ella and arranged a morning and afternoon safari for us. We were greeted with a delicious cold coconut water, in the coconut. We chose the breakfast and dinner option which makes so much sense because the town is a bit of a walk and after a safari all day (4:30 am to 6:30 pm) it is great to have dinner at the homestay. Both dinners we had were excellent, I think the best food we've had in Sri Lanka! They also pack a breakfast to go on your safari day because of leaving so early. When you wake up they have coffee and bananas for you before leaving. Our room was a great size, ac and hot water worked well. The owners are very kind, friendly and even drove us to the bus stop, stayed with us and made sure we got on the right bus. I highly recommend Tissa Rainbow for your stay while exploring Yala National Park, you won't regret it!

This is not a criticism, just a suggestion. I suggest to add a side table to each side of the bed. It is awkward not having a place to put your phone, bottle of water etc. in the evening.

De gastvrijheid was hartverwarmend. De lokatie om de vleermuizen te zien was perfect. Het ontbijt en diner waren heerlijk.

A great place to stay for a few nights with a very friendly and helpful host. The host arranged a tuktuk for the last part of the trip after getting off the bus from Ella, and he also brought us to the bus stand when we left. The safari can also be arranged for a very good price. The room is spacious with coffee/tea facilities and chairs to sit down. The location next to Tissa Lake is nice for a walk and to watch birds around sunset.

Basic stay in Yala, with very friendly hosts (do not expect a luxury stay). Breakfast was good.

No hot water & no water pressure.
