The lookout lodge

We had an amazing stay! The new, clean pool was a definite highlight, and the air conditioning in the room was fantastic – especially considering how hot it was. The location is very remote, but the owner is more than happy to help with tuk-tuk arrangements if you need them. We had dinner at the property, which was a bit on the expensive side but definitely worth it – the fresh fish was absolutely delicious. The breakfast was decent, though not the best we've had in Sri Lanka, and I think it could be improved, especially for the value of money. One thing to note is that the bathroom didn’t have a mosquito net, and a frog entered our room during the night, which was a bit unexpected. However, the owner was really nice when we asked for help and made sure everything was taken care of. We also had an incredible wildlife experience – we saw monkeys, squirrels, peacocks, and even a Komodo dragon near the beach! It was such a unique touch to the stay. The pool was really well-maintained, but one downside was that there weren’t enough sunbeds for the 4 rooms, which could be an issue when it’s busier. Overall, a great stay with some minor improvements needed, but we would definitely recommend it for a relaxing getaway!

Wonderful hotel in a very beautiful location. Everything is very clean and well maintained. Clean and very beautiful swimming pool. The owner, and hotel manager Gintarė is very friendly and always ready to help. The breakfast is very delicious, and we don’t even have anything to say about the dinner, it’s just amazing. The stay was wonderful, I definitely recommend everyone to visit.

Beautiful place located very close to a beautiful beach and away from noise and crowds. You can relax and enjoy the charms it offers by starting the day with a delicious breakfast, something different is served every day. The owner takes great care of the satisfaction of his guests and also likes to cook. In particular, the hit dish with fresh shrimp stole our hearts, we highly recommend it - it is delicious, and the portion will surprise everyone, it is huge 🦐🦐🦐 The host, hearing that we would like to taste red fish 🎏🎣🐟 ordered and prepared it especially for us ❤️ thank you once again for your hospitality and care for making us feel good, we highly recommend it to everyone, a big thank you to the owner and manager, who made our stay incredibly pleasant 🥰

The Lookout Lodge in Rekawa was absolutely beautiful – the best place we stayed at in Sri Lanka! Everything was super clean, the pool was fantastic, and the breakfasts were amazing. Every morning, we got a different breakfast, and each one was delicious. The place is peaceful, which makes it perfect for relaxing. Right in front of the lodge, there are ponds with beautiful birds, which adds to the charm of the place. The staff was incredibly kind and helpful – they even arranged lovely birthday decorations for my sister, which was such a nice surprise. The area is stunning, very quiet, and the nearby beaches are completely empty, with sea turtles everywhere.
