The lookout lodge

We had the most amazing time. The host is attentive, relaxed and cares about details. The roomes were spotless just like the pool. Good wifi and great breakfast. He also provides filtered wather. By far our best stay in Sri Lanka. We would highly recommend this place.

It is in a very quiet area, 10 minutes walk to the beach. The rooms are spacious, very clean, very well ventilated (the air is very clean, not like other accommodations in Sri Lanka). The garden is very beautiful and well maintained. The pool is chic and very clean, the water has a perfect temperature. The owners are very friendly and always willing to help you. They can cook you a delicious, fresh dinner, cooked on the spot, or they can organize various excursions in the area (safari, temple visit, kayaking on the lagoon, etc.). The breakfast is rich and very tasty, with fruit from the owners' garden. The atmosphere in the area is very quiet, there are not many tourists, you can meet locals which gives the place a truly authentic atmosphere.

You feel you are close to nature. Lodge feels new and fresh. Bathroom is nice, a European standard, so not common. But most of all owner and manager give each tourist attention and are open to help. We had a great dinner at the lodge, so it’s worth trying, owner is a man of many talents. Last but not least pool is well maintained and water felt great like silk. Beach is close by, waves were crashing hard but if you swim further it’s calm.

Nothing, everything was great. This is a place for people who want to get away from a city, so location is a bit secluded, but that’s the point. You can explore different beaches and walk on a shoreline like we did, we came back using tuk-tuk.

Lovely hosts, great breakfast, the room was large and very clean, short walk to the beach and nice to cool off in the the brand new pool!

Big, clean rooms. Lovely pool, very helpful staff and peaceful location. Really recommend.

Very friendly management. Can advise you on activities in the area. Provided lovely fresh made meals. Air con good and nice new swimming pool. No traffic noise at night. A good spot for bird sighting and easy walk to a large lagoon area and the beautiful local beach.

A couple more pillows per room would be welcome

Beautiful property with comfortable rooms and an amazing pool. Hot showers and a short walk from the beach. Easy to catch a tuk tuk into Tangalle.
