Kandy Eco Retreat

In the jungle while also being close to the city center (~2.5km), manager is a sweet guy always willing to help and provide assistance. No AC on room but because of the ‘natural AC’ (trees) we did not need it. Rooms spacious and clean, beds find and nice breakfast too. Visiting Kandy 1 full day is enough (nice experience)

The lodge is a little outside of Kandy and it felt like I was in the middle of a rainforest. Stunning location. The manager was very lovely, he was always on hand to help with everything. I did the yoga classes every morning which were really great - very different from Westernised yoga, I learned so much about the flows and chakras and yoga “theory” from the instructor. There are also Ayurvedic treatments (between 45-60usd for lodgers) which were such a nice treat :)

The bathroom and room didn’t have any air flow and as a result it felt really humid and musty inside. There was a damp smell - even with the fan left one. The bathroom had a bit of an ant problem but that’s to be expected with a property that’s in the middle of nature.

Nice and calm place in the jungle close to the city center. Really nice host and great breakfast 🙂 We also booked some tours and relaxing treatments - overall a very nice stay.

Due to the humidity the rooms were a bit musty and a little dark.

It’s a beautiful, peaceful and relaxing place, where you feel that you live in a jungle. It has a yoga place where you can practice. The breakfast was good. The stuff is helpful. I recommend it.

The man in charge was really lovely and helpful. It’s a peaceful place with beautiful bird song. The massage was nice and the woman very friendly and loving.

Unfortunately you could hear the sound of the nearby gym playing music, which disrupted the beautiful sounds of the jungle. It was very dark in the room and the bathroom was very basic.
