Highly recommended for a peaceful stay after back to back visit of the regions from Sigiri to Udalwalwe. The place is like dreamy. As we entered, we were so astonished by the beauty of the place. There are houses to stay surrounded by the lake. The owner and the workers were so friendly. The greeted us very warmly and prepared the dinner for us. The maid explained the dishes and its preparations while making the food. They made the Srilankan pancake for us. they made us the black tea and provided some biscuits. The property owner took us for a boat ride in the evening. The place were so safe. It was the off season we visited, hence only we were at the property. But still we feel safe and sound there. We enjoyed an amazing time near to the lake. It was raining too. During night, it looks so amazing with the lights all around. The were swings to rest and the beauty of the nature was so blended with it. They had a pet called Ruby for all the pet lovers. We truly felt like home and didnt feel like to leave the place. I think everyone should take a stay here during your Srilanka visit.

One of the most stunning features of the resort is its enchanting view of a calm lake, adding a magical touch to the scenery. Some of the most memorable moments were spent sailing in boats across the tranquil waters, where relaxation and joy came together like a scene from a movie. The hospitality was exceptional, and the service exceeded expectations — everything was thoughtfully arranged to ensure complete comfort. The cottages were stylish and cozy, combining rustic charm with modern elegance, and opened onto views that warmed the heart. The culinary experience at Yunan Resort was just as impressive. Every dish was fresh, delicious, and carefully prepared — blending refined presentation with authentic local flavors. Each meal was a sensory journey that satisfied far beyond just the appetite. One of the most unforgettable highlights was a heartfelt gesture from the owner, who gifted me a precious keepsake. A gracious and generous act that reflected the true spirit of hospitality and made my stay even more memorable. The overall atmosphere was perfect for anyone seeking calm, reflection, and an escape from the noise of daily life. In short, Yunan Resort is not just a place to stay — it’s a complete experience for all the senses.

Beautiful, great value, nice staff, great safari

The bed was a bit stiff

I loved the location. Also, there is flowing clean water which is connected to a river. I got opportunity to swim there. The whole area was away from all the chaos, connected to nature. I loved my stay over there and happily extended one nore day to enjoy the scenic beauty. Also, the owner is quite friendly. It's a safe, and tranquil space for female solo travellers.

The service can be improved more.

We had a wonderful stay just minutes from Udawalawe National Park. The property has an incredible garden with unbeatable views of the river—truly a special place to relax and enjoy nature. The hospitality was outstanding. The hosts were warm and attentive, making us feel very welcome. Dinner was absolutely delicious—generous portions, maybe even too much food! The rooms are basic but more than sufficient, with hot water and good pressure. What really stands out are the common areas—beautifully designed and perfect for enjoying the peaceful surroundings. We were lucky enough to catch a stunning sunset, and with some luck, you can even spot wild elephants nearby. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the area!

The rooms were generally clean, though they could use a bit more attention to detail—just a little extra effort would make a big difference. We booked the safari through the property. The guide was very friendly and knowledgeable, which we really appreciated. However, the vehicle used for the safari was quite uncomfortable, especially considering the bumpy roads inside the national park. We saw other jeeps along the way that looked much more comfortable.
