Travelled with two kids. Great hospitality & excellent home made dinner and breakfast. Hosts were very professional, supportive and had a kind attitude towards kids.

In 19 days in Sri Lanka, we have changed 11 hotels and we can say with confidence that this is one of the best (we considered rooms in the price range up to $20 per night)! The owner, Mr. Clive, is an incredibly friendly and outgoing person. The outside area is very well maintained and the room is clean and comfortable. Mr. Clive offered us a very nice dinner at a great price. The owner also helped to adjust our route and gave us helpful directions for our future travels. Traveler's note: We got to the hotel from Udawalawa by busses, transferring to Pelmadulla. The bus picked us up in front of the Udawalawa park entrance (just stop the bus where you are standing. You will be picked up) and dropped us off near the hotel. Time was about an hour and a half, price was about 1500 rupees per person for both buses. A grocery store near the hotel. Of attractions - a wonderful hiking trail from Ohiya overlooking the highest waterfall in Sri Lanka - Bambarakanda Falls. The trail is a 20 km descent with a difference in elevation of 1400 meters (the top point - Ohiya). If you want to walk it, I recommend to stay overnight at The Misty mountain guest house, drive to Ohiya in the morning (about an hour by bus and train), return to the hotel and spend the night there.

Fantastic owners with great welcome drinks and chicken soup...mmmm, I think one of the best owners that we meet in Srilanka! Comfortable mattress, great view, silent.

Cold water shower, really cold, not possible use it.
