Weligama Watergate

Great Hospitality from the whole family. Only a few meters away from the beach/ surfing spot.

Wifi did not work properly. No mosquito net.

Very nice host family, at night very quite neighborhood

The location was a bit far away from the centre, the lock on the door was not working properly, the bed sheets weren’t clean and had stains, no hot water in the shower

We had an amazing stay at water gate resort. Next to the amazing room and location the family was very warm and welcoming. We have been in Sri Lanka for 3 weeks and this has been the most special stay for us. We spent most of our time in Weligama with the family, they took us to the beach, we had dinner together and played many games. If you are looking for an authentic experience with the kindest people and family we recommend this place a 100%

I had a fantastic experience at Weligama Watergate! The owner was incredibly accommodating and allowed us to check in early. This guest house, run by a friendly and helpful local family, made us feel right at home. We were greeted with a welcome cocktail and enjoyed a delicious breakfast in the morning. The location is perfect, just a short distance from the beach, making it ideal for surfing enthusiasts. Despite being so close to the beach, the area is very quiet and peaceful. Our room was spacious and clean, offering excellent value for the price. I highly recommend Weligama Watergate – you won't find a better place for this price!
