Weligama Watergate

What a great place to stay. Wonderful family run business, they are so welcoming and friendly. The room itself is very large and clean, with a lovely little terrace area to sit outside. Location is a little away from the 'main' area of Weligama but this is actually really pleasant- it sits just off the beach, so a 10minute walk along lovely sand and you're in the center (plenty of tuk tuks around to offer lift home). Tried to stay longer but they were fully booked! Highly recommend, and was a great price.

Spacious clean room, cute patio which I did use, spacious clean bathroom. Very nice owners. I did not order breakfast, yet they brought me coffee in the morning, which I enjoyed on the patio. Good location - few minutes walk to the beach, about 10 mins walk to train station, quiet at night, the building is a bit further from the busy street. Overall I had a very good experience and would definitely return. The two attached pictures are view from the patio - nicely kept little garden.

The property is on the road towards Ahangama so it is quiet but still has cafes and restaurants nearby. The beach is over the road and you can walk along it into the main part of town for about 10minutes if you don't want to walk on the road. There are 3 rooms so it is really peaceful and all the rooms open onto a lovely terraced area with trees. The AC is very effective and there is a large bar fridge in the room. I booked for 3 nights and extended for 10, I felt so comfortable here.

Honestly nothing

1 min walking to the beach perfect place for surfing, lovely family owned place:) they were so friendly and helpful during my stay. Highly recommend to stay there!

The best place we have stayed in Sri Lanka! Amazing hosts, location and room. The room has everything you need and the hosts were really lovely and accommodating! Would 100% recommend
