Weligama Watergate

Family very nice and attentive, kept asking if you need anything else all the time, welcoming!

The big carpet in the bedroom, no need for that, also it seems no cleaning is done during your stay, but you get your own mop and broom in case, it is the norm in Sri Lanka it seems

A wonderful homestay! Excellent value for money. Set within a few minutes walk of the beach and yet away from any noise the large, spotlessly clean rooms had comfortable beds, excellent bathroom facilities and a little outdoor area to sit and relax. What really made this place for us was the kindness and help that Vasu and his family showed us. They were truly lovely and only too happy to help. I'd thoroughly recommend easting at the little restaurant called Fork which is a few minutes walk down the path in the opposite direction to the beach, turn right when you get to the road and it's another few minutes on the right.

Spacious room with comfy bed, big bathroom - all clean and neat. Close to Weligama beach (easier to reach by bike though, or a 15-20min walk) and very quiet. The host and his mom were so welcoming, arranged the laundry for us and we could literally just jump on one of the bikes parked in front. No complicated paperwork, you just have to ask and pay a minimum amount.

The room was really spacious, clean and comfy. The shower was very good. Location is nice for walking distance to the beach and center.

Nothing to dislike!
