Petit Guest House

This guest house has 4 rooms in total - each has a small patio area with chairs. The room itself was clean, with a comfortable bed, there was a big (tasty!) breakfast, the aircon works well, it is close to restaurants and the beach and best of all there is a nice shared pool to finish the day in! The family running this guest house are very friendly and can advise on how to travel to other locations in Sri Lanka, and they speak good English so communication was easy. Our room also had a fridge, which was really useful for keeping water cool. No issues, all was good - this place was recommended to us, and we would stay there again, excellent value 10/10!

All was good!

Quiet location with very friendly, helpful staff. Simple, traditional and filling breakfast of fresh fruit, string hoppers, curry, sambal, omelette and coffee. Close to the local train station and main road and about a 10 minute walk from the beach.

Some simple additions in the room would be a huge improvement, such as hooks / rails for the hangers provided. Hooks or shelves also needed in the bathroom as nowhere to put towels or clothes. Kettle, tea and coffee were provided but no cups! Nothing to put your suitcase or backpack on - no chairs or tables. This was all mentioned to the staff who apologised and suggested a carpenter would be coming the next day but judging from reviews by previous guests these are ongoing issues which are ignored. Such as shame as a little effort and attentional to detail could really enhance this place.

A large room with modern shower, toilet and hot water. A small swimming pool, welcome after a hot day. A pleasant garden. A good breakfast, served in the garden. 5 minutes walk from local station, and 10- 15 minutes walk from Negombo Beach. (Suggest taking a torch, as path dark at night.) Friendly, helpful staff. Convenient for airport.

Train journey to Colombo from local station took 1.5 hours on slow, crowded, hot and uncomfortable - but fun - journey. Better option might be tuktuk to Negombo and catch fast train.

Nice owners and the pool was great!

Very nice, flexible and accomodating people. Nice big and comfortable bed and room. Lovely pool and nice breakfast!

Nice hosts and good localisarion, also tasty breakfast. Clean pool.

unpleasant smell in the room

Good cooling system in the room, both ac and ceiling fan. Matress on the bed was new and super comfy. Pool is nice to cool down during the hot hours. Nice garden area surrounding the pool.

Breakfast was simple, no sri lanka food options. Wifi was not working properly. Bed sheats to short for matrass.

It was in a great location. Our host organised an airport pick up for us. The pool was great as was the breakfast.

There was a very bad smell in the bathroom which came into the room
