Casa Luna & Sol

Perfect location for a couple travelling on a budget but with high standards! The room is comfortably sized, there's a place to hang out in the sun just outside plus a private little seat. The property has a big lockable gate, not that oaxaca feels unsafe at all. There's laundry service, and you can leave bags before or after check out. The host is absolutely lovely, and organised tours for us that were very reasonably and competitively priced. It's a short walk from town, but it's a lovely walk through the market and enjoyable and safe any time of day. Bonus: there's vegetarian restraints and rooftop bars right round the corner! One of our favourite places to stay in a long trip around mesoamerica.

Very friendly owner, nice room, good location in quiet neighborhood, not far from the centre

Lu and her family are so kind! The room was simple but had everything we needed: private bathroom, towels, a fan. The common area had drinking water, a fridge, and a microwave. The location was my favorite part! Very pleasant neighborhood, a bit quieter than centro, but still lots of really cool shops, cafes, and eateries. Also Lú was very helpful in acting as a taxi service for me when I had to get my big box with my bike in it to a different part of town and then to the airport.

It is a really nice property. It’s close to pretty much every point of interest you may have. The host is super nice, not English speaker but with some basic Spanish you’ll be fine. You can also use the shared refrigerator and microwave and there’s filtered cold and hot water available for free. They also provide laundry service which is pretty convenient and our clothes smelled super good after. I recommend this accommodation.

The location is excellent. It was a short walk to the main church and other locations such as the zocolo were a lottle farther but oo bad. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. We were able to park our car for a small fee. We parked it and then walked to everything. They provided a communal fridge, cold and hot water microwave and coffee pot ( no cups , plates or cutlery provided)

While the room was clean it was unexciting. A paint job might spruce it up and while there was a small window...it was frosted over and so it didn't feel like you had a window in the room. There was no place like a terrace where we could sit in the sun in the afternoon. The only sitting area offered was in the basement...not very appealing . We ended up pulling our chairs out of the room and sitting on the stoop. The pillows and sheets were clean but they were tired and need to be replaced. While water was offered ( which was great)...no glasses or holding container were provided.

Simple Room. Bed okay. Hot Shower. Free Drinking Water and a fridge for guests! Staff/Owner of this place are really friendly! Let us bring the luggage before check-in and even let us get the luggage in the evening on checkout day. Very uncomplicated. Communication with translate-apps :-) The location is nice, too. You can walk to oaxaca-centrum just a few seconds^^
