LA SELVA

Not too big, not too busy. Few minutes walk to the center and the beach. Shop is next door and there are some restaurants around.

It's quite noisy. You can hear all the noises from the street. There's huge chain on the door, that has to be unlocked, untwisted and put back and locked again every time someone wants to go out or in. And it makes so much noise repeatedly throughout the night as people come and go. There's no privacy anywhere whatsoever.

Staff were fantastic, we had a private room, and it's a pretty standard hostel, there was hot water which was awesome.

The kitchen could have more utensils for cooking, and when we took a shower in our room the water leaked to the floor, not sure how that could be fixed though. Bring earplugs for the outside noise (but that's standard for when you're travelling!)

Staff was friendly.

Facilities are poor. Neighbourhood was loud because of roosters, cars and parties.

The staff were amazing. I loved the fruit at breakfast. Really clean beds and bathrooms, exceptional service and check out was smooth

The bathrooms were okay!

My bunk was right behind front desk and everyone was smoking outside. All the smoke came right in. There’s no door that blocks from outside. It was exceptionally loud. The mattresses were very uncomfortable. There was no curtain for privacy for each bed.

it has a family vibe. i knew plenty of guests who didn’t want to leave and kept extending. good breakfast.

it’s one room with a bunch of beds in it and can be a bit loud in the morning. only curtains seclude four beds into a section. water pressure was iffy. it’s a bit further away from the beach than most places but still extremely walkable.

The breakfast was good and healthy. The location was easy to find and close to the gym
