LA SELVA

The location was near to downtown and to the main streets. Breakfast was good. The guys from the staff were so kind and always helpfull.

Rooms are small, but it's ok for the price.

no seperate rooms, the rooms are divided only by a courtain and the walls do not reach all the way up to the ceiling. Meaning if one person has their light on or is loud, the whole hostel has to endure it. Dogs walking randomly through the rooms.

One of the cheapest in town so can't ask too much from it. Roughly a 10min brisk walk from the beach. Staff is nice and helpful, one of the biggest supermarkets in town is right beside it (still small though), loads of cheap places to eat nearby. I had a private room (really good air conditioning unit, the bathroom not so much..) but often I stay in dorms; they have dorms here too but they are in the middle of the corridor, never seen anything like that.. I guess you can't expect much when you pay less than most places in the same area. Breakfast is nice but basic and small portions.

It's not perfect by any means but due to the low price I can't say I have disliked anything, you get what you pay for

There is a kitchen but looks like only for staff. The toilet seat in the private room has foam on it, is a little bit strange. Room don't have a proper air source, as the windows is to the neighbors backyard. With the AC it's probably possible to remove some humidity.

Everything was loud. Dogs barking through the night, kids playing from early morning to late at night. Music blaring 8am-9pm. Private room was hardly private, the walls didn't connect to the ceiling so sound carried in and out. 'Private' bathroom wasn't so either, had stains on the seat the morning we woke up, someone else had used it. We were very disappointed and uncomfortable, left after one night. Was disappointed our previous booking had to cancel on us and we were forced to settle on this hostel. Was a big waste of our time and money, regret how this played out. Won't be in a rush to use booking.com again, have more consistent and accurate service from hostelworld and airbnb
