So gross war die Wohnung zu viert, dass wir gerade jubelten nach den Unterkünften in einem Zimmer! Wir konnten uns wiedermal nen Film gönnen. Klimaanlage, Dusche mit Durchlauferwärmer, gute Betten… alles war tipptopp! Wir waren in etwa zwanzig Minuten zu Fuss in Kandy! Der Gastgeber war ein feiner lieber Chef und das Morgenessen war wunderbar!!!

There’s nothing to like about this place.

Bed is not comfortable, toilet smells so bad, cockroaches comes out of the drain, dirty mats, AC in the room was not working. we asked to fix the AC and the owner Mr Vickram said he will send someone to fix the next day, no one came and we asked again, and he said he forgot, he will send the next day. This wasn’t fixed during our stay. We booked this place ‘kandu’ for 9 nights starting from 25th April to 4th May. Yet we came from Colombo on 28th evening. We had no issue in paying for the 9 nights we booked. Breakfast was optional and we didnt choose breakfast when we did the booking. But when we arrived the place the owner Mr Vickram asked if we want the breakfast and we agreed. We had breakfast from 29th April to 2nd May total 4 days. As Breakfast was not worth the amount we had to pay, we decided not to have breakfast for the last 2 days of our stay (which is 3rd and 4th May) so we informed Mr. Vickram on 2nd evening around 1800hrs. The funny thing is we were charged for 8 days for breakfast, when we only stayed this place for 6 days. And he offered us to take to see some places in kandy in his car, as he was free and at the end we were charged 5000Rs which he didn’t mention beforehand. He dropped us to a buffet restaurant for lunch which cost 6000Rs for 2. And mentioned us to taking to gem stores which we rejected. And he was not happy about it. He always starts his conversation saying he is not a money minded person, but this whole experience tells a-lot about this person. Before check out we mentioned about these extra charges he started to blabbering and as he is an old man we didn’t want to argue or to do so. We did our part we paid the amount he billed. But this is not how you give services to your guests. Be more hospitable! WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!

Nice spacious room with air con and yummy breakfast

Its a little far from the centre and many of the attractions tho you can walk all the way along Kandy lake to get there and its a nice walk

This was the best place we have stayed so far on our Sri Lanka trip. Vicki was very helpful and even drove us into town and told us how to avoid traffic when going to attractions. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. It is walking distance to all the attractions in town but is quiet for sleeping.

The host lives in the house with his caretaker. We stayed in the 2 bedroom family suite which has a living room but the place was not clean at all. I had to ask them to clean the bathroom as there were hairs and mold in the shower but found out later there was more hair next to the toilet. Even the caretaker came to clean but didn't do a good job. It felt like an abandoned room with dust and spiderwebs everywhere. It seemed like it wasn't cleaned before we checked in. There were many foot mats that looked like never cleaned before. I had high expectations because of its high ratings, but the only good thing about the place is the size and the location.

It’s a luxurious villa with good price, the owner is enthusiastic and friendly.

Host went out of his way for us and was very lovely. Picked us up from the train station and booked transport for us. The house was a lovely style and nice location. Breakfast was great. Host, Viki (not sure of spelling sorry), couldn’t do enough for us.

Shower not very clean, and lots of dust under the bed. But host open to feedback and was receptive and wants to improve on this. Kitchenette in the family room could use a clean and some utensils and crockery like cups and spoons ☺️

Viki, the owner, was incredibly helpful and welcoming. The rooms were spacious, spotless, and stylishly modern, offering excellent value for money. Nestled in a peaceful location, it provided the perfect balance of comfort and convenience.
