Ama Eco Lodge

+ Eco Lodge is exactly like on the pictures + very hygienic and clean place + wonderful terrace + jungle feeling (plants and animals) + fresh coconut and mango juice + very good breakfast (best pancakes ever) + very good curry for dinner + Banda the host and his family are extremely helpful and nice + Banda organised drivers for transport between the hotes (incl. sightseeing) and a driver for elephant safari

The Amo Eco lodge is surrounded by amazing plant & animal life! The owner Banda is extremely friendly & helpful with suggesting places to visit & transport Breakfast is varied & tasty & we had 2 evening meals cooked by Banda's mum which was excellent. We really enjoyed our 2 nights here & would definitely recommend staying here if your planning to visit Sigiria.

A comfortable chair would be useful to sit outside but we did use the chairs from the balcony area for comfort.

If you need a sign to book Ama Eco Lodge, this is your sign. We had an amazing stay with Banda and his family. Banda helped us a lot, gave us a lot of tips (Anu's Mom restaurant!) and he and his brother drove us around when able. The lodge is brandnew, clean and the bed is very nice. Breakfast is until now the best we had in Sri Lanka. So fresh.

We spent two absolutely wonderful nights at Ama Eco Lodge. This is a one room lodge on the beautiful property of the host, Banda, surrounded by lush gardens and palm trees and in a perfect location. The lodge is beautifully designed and very comfortable, and we particularly enjoyed showering under the stars. Banda is an exceptional host. He arranged a wonderful itinerary for us, encompassing Kaudulla National Park (we had an amazing Safari and saw over 100 elephants!), Lion Rock, and Polonnaruwa. His local knowledge was invaluable in helping us with arrangements. His enthusiasm and knowledge about the natural area is wonderful, he showed us the fireflies at the village lake and the weaver birds in a nearby field. We also ate dinner there both nights, which was delicious! The breakfasts each morning were our favorite in Sri Lanka — maybe the best fruit we have ever had! We highly recommend saying at Ama Eco Lodge, our only regret was not being able to stay for another night! Thank you Banda and family!

It was the best place we stayed at during our time in Sri Lanka! Banda is so nice, extremely caring, he told us so many interesting things about Sri Lanka and Sigiriya. The food is cooked by his mother and it was one of the best dishes we had during our entire trip. The house is also completely new and very clean. You should definitely come here if you can. Couldn’t be better :)

Very friendly and helpful owner. Beautiful place with amazing garden. It’s very clean!!! So far the best stay we’ve had in SriLanka. Delicious breakfast (with fresh fruits from the garden) and great hospitality! Pleasant surprise. Owner gave us a flashlight and told us about nearby lake where we can see fireflies. We did and also spotted a crocodile swimming in the lake(little night safari was great!) We heard that sometimes you can see wild elephants at night or early morning.
