Views from Ganesh cabin are charming and it’s lovely and quiet in the mornings - worth the hike to be further away from the main road. Massive comfy bed and great ceiling fans/mosquito net. Loved having a moka pot for coffee in the mornings and a blender for smoothies - plus fridge / freezer is a great help.

Outdoor furniture needs some cleaning and upkeep or cushion covers replacing. Kitchen could benefit from a few more basics like olive oil, pepper or a few additions for cooking.

Gorgeous place

Beautiful views, very calm except for occasional parties from the neighbors. The place is very well equipped and cleaned regularly. The owner is very helpful and accommodating. The location is remote but only a short walk away from the center. If walking up the hill in the dark is not your thing then you will need a car that can deal with the steep dirt road.

Occasional bugs and lack of AC but we were prepared for that and it was not a big deal.

The cottage looks like a dream. Beautiful terrace with hammock and exceptional tropic view out of the bedroom. Two little sweet cats came to visit sometimes. The kitchen is big and well equipped. Everything is very clean.

Because the cottage has a palm leaf roof and it is very open, aircondition wouldn´t work and there is none. We underestimated the heat there. There are several fans placed throughout the rooms but it isn´t enough to have a good sleep. We were sweating through the night. The first two nights, it was quiet and we were happy to be far enough from the center to have a quiet environment. But in the last night, there was a concert somewhere nearby we could hear as it was beside our cottage. It was so loud for hours so our baby couldn´t sleep and we had another stressful night unfortunately. Looking at the map, the apartment is located very in the center of Mazunte but the way up there is very rough. You only walk 10 minutes but it is a very steep and rocky path. It is no proper street with many holes. Most cab drivers don´t want to drive up there because it´s dangerous and bad for their car. It looks like a dream but wasn´t the right thing for us especially with baby.

The space was good enough, the bed was amazing and the property has everything you need for cooking.

There were some insects around, the access is hard and by night there are a few scorpions and snakes on the road.

The Place is a little bit uphill from town and - as mentioned - it’s highly recommended to take a taxi (between 100-120 pesos, depending on the the time of the day) if the luggage is too heavy. but once you get there you will find a beautifully furnitured and well equipped place which makes you feel like home instantly. we were looking for a place to live in peace with nature and we will for sure come back to this magical and calm place. … and we already miss the cat.
