The Golden Residence

Beautiful old house converted into an hotel, felt like being in the jungle surrounded by many fruit trees, coconut palms and many other plants. Lots of birds and squirrels to watch while sitting outside. Great place to stay for couples looking for a budget friendly place, close to pinnewala,Kandy, Dambulla. The owner is always on hand for taking care of your needs, and is a great conversationalist. He can arrange what ever you need.

It would be nice to see more maintenance but I fully understand that it's a one man show,so all considered,it was fine.

I had a very good experience staying here with my family. The place is spacious, clean, and the room was very well equipped. At first, I had booked a different room, but the owner kindly changed it to a room with three beds to better suit my family. We really appreciated his help and kindness. The hospitality was excellent — he was very welcoming, friendly, and always ready to help. In the morning, he also gave us useful advice about places around the area, which was very helpful. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area, and I would be happy to come back again in the future. Thank you for everything!

La casa es preciosa, bien cuidada y muy limpia. Los muebles de gran calidad. El dueño te recibe como a su familia, te sientes en casa. Prepara te y lo que necesites en todo momento. Intenta ayudar siempre. Nos quedaríamos aquí una semana más. Lo recomendamos 100%. Hemos dormido estupendamente. Hay wifi y agua caliente. Nos hemos dado varios masajes con una Terapeuta recomendada por él y ha sido una maravilla.

I initially booked the room for one night but ended up spending three nights. The room was good, though the Wi-Fi was not working, and the manager said he would get it working once the holidays were over. I had to ask for a kettle, which was readily provided. The manager suggested the places I could visit. I had ridden on a bike, and I had no problems storing the bike securely. I had a lovely breakfast along with a cup of coffee.

Though a kettle was provided after requesting, a few tea or coffee bags kept in the room with the kettle would have been helpful

Nice hospitality and the room was comfortable and nice calm place. The owner was very friendly .I recommend this place and happy of our stay.
